[An upright advertisement in black on cream, framed by a single rule. The jingle heads the panel in three lines of bold sans serif italic, with the trade name under them in large letter-spaced capitals followed by three solid triangles in place of the dots. At the center is a line engraving of a broad curved band, solid black and cut square at each end like a rim section or a ribbon, carrying the words “GUIDON” and “ET JANTES” reversed out of it in heavy sans serif capitals set on the curve, and the trade name below in very large white capitals that overlap the lower edge. Between those two words, at the middle of the band, the firm’s trade mark is reproduced in white: an oval cartouche flanked by two spreading wings or laurel sprays, with a small bead above and below, holding the name “PIVO” in bold letters over a line of two short words too small to read, which is illisible. The name of the house stands below the drawing in heavy shaded sans serif capitals, the raised “TS” of the abbreviation set small and the A of the surname drawn with a splayed apex. Two columns close the panel, the fair address at the left over the hall name and the stand number between dashes, and the street address at the right over the town and the telephone exchange between dashes. No second color, no agency mark and no artist’s signature appear.]

[This advertisement shares page 170 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Guttacoll, Fourets and R.F.G., each held here as its own record.]
