[A tall, narrow ruled advertisement printed in red and black on a cream ground, inside a thin single-line frame. The head “JANTES et GUIDONS” is set in large red roman capitals with “et” in lower case, and “pour CYCLES” beneath it in black between two pairs of fine horizontal rules. Below, a small winged badge is drawn in line with halftone dot shading: a red disc lettered “MADE IN FRANCE” and “PIVO” in outlined white capitals sits between two stylized feathered wings, with a small ringed bolt-like knob above and below the disc. A red line of capitals, “SECURITÉ, LÉGÈRETÉ, ÉLÉGANCE”, follows. The main picture is a large black rectangular halftone photograph showing a drop handlebar with its stem and clamp, lying slanted across the upper half, and above it a single bare metal rim standing upright as a tall narrow oval with a row of spoke holes along its edge. Under the photograph the firm’s name “ETABLISSEMENTS ALLES” is set in bold red italic capitals, followed by the address and telephone number in black roman type, a small black downward triangle, and the Salon line in black italic, with the stand number in a smaller bold italic. No artist signature or agency mark is visible.]
