[A full-height advertisement in black and white with a tall hexagonal border of double rules, a chevron peak at the top and bottom, and a chainring drawn in each corner. The two upper chainrings are five-armed rings with star-shaped spiders and fine teeth, drawn in line with hatched shading; the two lower ones are three-lobed cut-out rings with bolt holes, the lower left shown only in part behind the text. At the top a hand-lettered script line reads “Une fabrication de qualité !”, followed by spaced capitals and an italic line. The words LES PLATEAUX DE PÉDALIERS stand in heavy shadowed capitals, the name PERSIB-LUX in giant condensed shadowed capitals below, then the maker’s name in graded roman and bold capitals. The firm’s address, Paris depot, trade terms and a small agency credit slanting along the lower border close the panel. No artist’s signature or monogram is visible. The telephone number ends in a single digit at the frame line, and a smudge sits beside the Paris street number.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Hiry’s, held here as its own record, and one for the Mosquito auxiliary engine.]
