[Design: a double-ruled frame. “CYCLES” in condensed capitals and “METALLOPLAN” in heavy extended capitals between quotation marks run across the top. At the left, in a box ruled above and below, is a fine shaded engraving of the R.A.R. bearing: above, an assembled hub-type bearing unit with its outer shell cut away at the left to show two rows of balls, a threaded cup and lock nuts at each end and a small lubricator; below, the parts laid out, a threaded ring, the axle with its two ball races and the threaded cup; the caption runs beneath. The claims are set at the right in condensed bold and light sans-serif, a short rule above the bicycle line in a bold Clarendon face; the frame line and the address close the advertisement across the full width. No signature or agency mark found.]

[This advertisement shares page 38 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for S.I.C.M.M.O. and JOO, each held here as its own record, and others for Ferrand Fils clothing and gloves, Lipton AZA pistons, C.P.D.M. motorcycle parts, the Derny motorized bicycle, the Neiman lock and G. Poirier invalid carriages.]
