Les pièces détachées des ATELIERS DU DORLAY
[Ebykr summary; the article’s text is not reproduced. The Ateliers du Dorlay make all the spare parts for assembling the frames of bicycles, cyclomoteurs, vélomoteurs and light motorcycles: fork legs (fourreaux), bases, stays (haubans), side members (longerons) and all special tubes. The firm’s great specialty is certainly its elastic forks for cyclomoteurs, vélomoteurs and small motorcycles, which are very comfortable and also add to the rider’s safety by absorbing bumps. Pressed and enameled luggage carriers adaptable to the “Starlett” and “Paloma” and similar machines are also an important part of output. Also worth noting are tire levers (démonte-pneu), clips (attaches), lugs or tabs (pattes), spacers (entretoises), threaded tubes and bottom-bracket shells (boîtes de pédalier). In all the range comprises more than 250 parts, detailed in a fine catalog the firm has just had printed; the author says this literature, with remarkable halftone blocks, gives a clear idea of the activity in the works at Grand-Croix, and that the achievement of the active director, M. Minaire, is one that commands respect. The Ateliers du Dorlay are glad to give their catalog to manufacturers who visit their stand at the Salon du Cycle.]
[A column notice in a trade magazine, text only. The heading “Les pièces détachées des ATELIERS DU DORLAY” is set across the head in bold roman type with the firm’s name in capitals. The text below is set in italic roman, with the firm’s name in small capitals and several phrases in bold roman. A black round dot closes the notice at the foot. There are no drawings, no photographs, no signature and no address line; the works are named in the text as at Grand-Croix, and no stand number is printed.]
