[A wide ruled advertisement in black and white with a thin outer border. At the upper left a tilted card with a heavy black outline is held by a drawn paper clip; on it “ATELIERS DU DORLAY” stands in bold condensed capitals above the proprietor’s name, the head office and two factory addresses, and a second address block for the Paris sales shop, all set at the card’s slant in sans-serif type. A large ruled panel fills the right and lower part of the sheet. In it a four-line sales claim in bold italic script leads to the line “CYCLES et CYCLOMOTEURS” in heavy capitals with a rule beneath, then “TUBES SPÉCIAUX” and a bold capitals line on stampings, followed by three lines of lighter spaced capitals listing parts. A line “FOURCHES ÉLASTIQUES” in heavy capitals between two short rules and a line of spaced capitals close the panel. The Salon stand note sits in small type at the lower left. There are no drawings or photographs, no artist’s signature and no agency mark.]
[This advertisement shares page 112 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Louis Serouge.]
