[A ruled advertisement printed mostly in reverse, cream lettering and drawings on a solid black panel, with a white band across the foot. At the left a round ribbed rubber cap marked with an interlaced “JB” monogram is drawn in line engraving inside a spiky starburst, with hatched streaks falling below it. At the center a brake block with wavy grooves along its face is drawn in perspective, with “le nouveau!” in slanting script and “PATIN DE FREIN” in bold capitals above “JB Stop!”. At the right a ribbed cylindrical handlebar plug is drawn with the words “SPÉCIALITÉS JB. DÉPOSÉ” arched on its top. Large block capitals “JB” stand beneath the left and right drawings. The white foot band carries two lines in bold sans-serif capitals. No signature or agency mark is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 48 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Birdo, Cadres Gloria, Maxi-Car, Cycles Singer, Bufflier and Prym, each held here as its own record, and one for the export house J. Burin des Roziers.]
