[A ruled advertisement in black and white, a single framed panel taller than it is wide, set in three languages. Across the head a row of five line-engraved drawings shows steering-head and bottom-bracket parts: a hexagonal lock nut, a thin notched ring with the word “LIGHTRACE” engraved on its face, a large knurled adjustable cup, a cup with a stepped skirt and, at the upper right, a stack of two further cups drawn one above the other. Beneath them “JEUX” stands in very large heavy black capitals with “DE DIRECTION” and “DE PÉDALIER” in smaller capitals at its right. A ruled band carries the brand names “LIGHTRACE” and “LELEGE” in italic capitals between guillemets. Below it two columns divided by a vertical rule give the English and Spanish headings with the marks in italic. The firm name “GOURGAUD & Cie” fills the width in very large heavy capitals, with the founding line at the center set beside a large “1920” in tall condensed numerals. Three lines of bold italic, one for each language, follow, then the address in bold sans-serif type with the telephone number below, and a last block of wholesale terms in bold italic in the same three languages, the English and Spanish lines split by a short vertical rule. At the foot a line-engraved drawing shows a bottom-bracket set laid out from left to right: a flat locking ring, a hexagonal threaded cup and a spindle with two collars and a notched end, with a second threaded cup at the right. No artist signature is visible and no text shows through from the reverse of the leaf.]
