[A horizontal half-page advertisement in black on cream inside a round-cornered frame, its upper right corner and foot filled with solid black. “COMPTEURS E.D” stands across the head in very heavy black block capitals over a thick rule. The left half is set in type: the trade line in condensed capitals, the magnetic models in bold italic and light sans-serif capitals with “SPHÉRIQUES” bracketing the two case sizes and then a short paragraph in small roman, the groups separated by large black dots. “Pratique Se monte toujours !” is written diagonally in a black brush script with a swash underline. The right half is a pen drawing in line and hatching: a round speedometer head with its dial numbered in kilometers per hour and its handlebar clamp, drawn large, and below it the front fork of a bicycle with a small speedometer on the bar and the drive cable running down to a striker at the hub; a cutaway of the hub drive stands on a white block, with a curved arrow pointing to its place at the wheel. A black stippled wedge runs from the lower left into the black foot band, which carries the request for diagrams, prices and catalogs in white italic and the distributor “C·E·C·A,” its address and telephone in reversed cream capitals.
