Les compteurs E.D.
[Ebykr summary; the article’s text is not reproduced. E.D. is bringing out a new magnetic speedometer, made in type CM 2 B (case diameter 60) and type CM 3 B (case diameter 52) for cycles and cyclomoteurs. It is especially practical in that it always offers the possibility of easy mounting. Its drive reduction gear (démultiplicateur d’entraînement) is characterized by its very small thickness, its double outlet and its long lug, as the engraving shows. In addition, for small headlamps, the maker has provided a triangular speedometer of reduced size, the type CM 4. All these models can moreover be fixed to the handlebar or recessed into the headlamps and lit. The equipment is distributed by C.E.C.A.]
[A column notice in a trade magazine with one ruled illustration. The heading “Les compteurs E.D.” is set at the upper right in bold roman type, and the text is in italic roman with a few words in bold roman. A tall drawing in a thin rectangular rule shows, in line engraving with fine hatching, a round speedometer head with a bracket and clamp ring at upper left, lifted clear of a front fork. A thin leader line drops from it to a clamp collar drawn in solid black and outline at lower left, and a thin cable runs from the head down the fork leg to a drive gear box at the hub of a spoked front wheel, where a curved black arrow points. A small gauge sits at the top of the fork. The drawing carries no lettering, no signature and no address. The distributor C.E.C.A. is named only in the last line of text, and no stand number is printed.]
