Of the great framebuilders, none is more revered than Ugo DeRosa. Now celebrating some thirty-five years as framebuilder to many of Europe’s top professional teams and riders, DeRosa and his sons continue to build each bicycle as if it were for Eddy Merckx. Today, demand for these bicycles has increased as riders throughout the world have spread the word of their performance.

Each DeRosa frame must go through fourteen separate brazing operations, on jigs designed by DeRosa. This attention to detail assures the correct angles and proper alignment. All frames feature investment cast conjunctions, a special bridgeless bottom bracket shell, and the classic flat fork crown. Front derailleur mount, dropouts, fork crown, and chainstays are finished in chrome.

For 1989, three DeRosa models will be offered: the road frame, a pista frame, and a completely new mountain frame made with Columbus MAX tubing. In addition, a special version of the road model commemorating 35 years of DeRosa bicycles will be produced in a limited edition.

Regardless of type, each DeRosa bicycle is built to Ugo DeRosa’s exacting standards, assuring the highest quality and built frame available.
