BRAMPTON RENOLD s.a. 20, RUE JACQUES DULUD, NEUILLY-s-SEINE

[A full-page advertisement in black and white on a dark ground that runs to the edges of the sheet. One large halftone photograph, vignetted into a pale oval glow against the dark surround, shows a bicycle drive from above: a hand at the left holds a pale rear frame stay, a roller chain runs in a long diagonal loop from the crank area at the upper left down to a toothed rear sprocket at the right, and a rear hub with a long axle and a small chain tensioner with two jockey wheels sit at the lower right. The word “chaines” is set at the upper left and “cycles” lower and to the right, each in heavy lower-case sans-serif letters, dark with a thin pale outline, over the photograph. Across the foot the name “BRAMPTON” stands in very large reversed pale block capitals, with a single line of smaller reversed capitals beneath it giving the firm “BRAMPTON RENOLD s.a.”, the street address and the town. No artist signature is visible.]
