[A landscape advertisement set inside a double rule, the panel a solid black ground with everything on it reversed out in the cream of the paper. The headline is lettered across the top in a broad white brush script, the first line small and the trade name very large and underscored by a long white stroke that runs out to the right. Three white discs are set across the panel in a descending stepped row, each one holding a length of chain drawn in halftone from a photograph, lying diagonally and modeled in gray: a narrow cycle chain at the left, a cyclomotor chain at the center and a heavier motorcycle chain at the right, each with its use named in black sans-serif capitals inside the lower part of its disc. At the lower left a flat carton is drawn in perspective and reversed to white, its lid lettered with the brand in script between the word for the chain and the width line, with the country of manufacture along the end of the box. To its right a white script word and three white lines of sans-serif capitals, each opened by a solid white star, list the uses. A rounded white box across the foot carries the closing line in black capitals, and the figures “203” stand in white at the lower right corner outside it. No artist’s signature or agency mark appears.]

[This advertisement shares page 66 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Torpedo, held here as its own record.]
