[A full ruled advertisement dominated by a large black panel with rounded corners, the lettering in white. At the left a line-and-halftone drawing shows a rear hub set at a slant, with a toothed sprocket behind it, a quick-release clamp at the top and a cap with a bracket at the lower end; the hub shell carries the small lettered words “F & S Schweinfurt”, a circular emblem, “Torpedo” and “System Sachs D.R.P.”, and the bracket is lettered “Torpedo”. Beside it the word “inimitable!” in white brush script rises across the head, with “LE MOYEU ROUE LIBRE ET FREIN” in white condensed capitals below it. The name “Torpedo” stands in very large white swash script outlined in a heavy shadow, with “D’ORIGINE” in spaced capitals in a small rounded label beneath it. Under the hub a jagged starburst holds the figures “PLUS DE 60 Millions MIS EN SERVICE A CE JOUR”, and a blank banner angled below the burst is left empty. Italic capitals give the maker line, and “FREINAGE DE SÉCURITÉ” closes the black panel in large bold italic capitals. A white rounded box at the foot carries the distributor’s name in heavy capitals with the address lines in italic and condensed capitals. The agency mark “Pub. Cadot” appears in small type at the lower right corner of the box. No artist signature is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 90 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Cagnion, held here as its own record.]
