A four-page brochure from TI Reynolds 531 Limited for the firm’s range of investment cast lugs, fork crowns and bottom bracket shells, precision forged dropouts and machined frame fittings. Its purpose is stated on the first text page: to let a builder construct an all-Reynolds frame, with fittings matched to the appropriate Reynolds tube set.
It is a parts catalog, and the value is the reference numbers. Every item is keyed with a Ref code — LFF, LB, LP, LDH, LDV, LFE, LBB, LFC, LBH, LTH, LSL, LWB, KHB — and the cast lugs, crowns and shells carry their tube sizes and their angles in degrees and minutes. For anyone identifying an unmarked lug or matching a replacement to a frame, that is the primary reference.
Two details are worth pulling out. Reynolds notes that the new range carries the Reynolds name cast into the fork crowns, bottom bracket shell and dropouts, which is an identification point on a finished frame. And the shells and lugs are given with explicit angles — a 60 degrees 30 minutes by 62 degrees 30 minutes bottom bracket, head lugs at 60, 66, 70, 71 and 73 degrees, seat lugs at 72, 73 and 74 degrees — so a frame’s geometry can be read back from its castings.
Dating. Undated. The imprint is TI Reynolds 531 Limited at P.O. Box 765 with telephone 021-706 5151 and fax 021-707 0081, and the printer code at the foot reads 82/165 Pentad — the same printer and the same imprint as the Constructors Tube Guide in this collection, whose code is 22/190 Pentad. The range covers All Terrain and Magnum components, which places it alongside the 1990 Product Range. About 1990 follows.
The brochure reached the Ebykr collection through the National Cycle Archive in partnership with the Veteran-Cycle Club, whose courtesy card is the first page of the source file. That card is not reproduced here.
