[A small upright advertisement in black on cream, framed by a single rule. Three lines of display type head the panel, the middle word in large bold roman italic and the others in bold roman, the first line printed “tranquilllité” with three l’s. The middle of the panel holds a line engraving of a rotating chaincase seen from the drive side at close range: a circular case with concentric ring mouldings fills the center, its hub plate drawn with bolt heads and curved cut-outs, the crank reaching down to its pedal at the lower left, and the chain, the chainstay and the rear wheel rim running out to the left while the seat stay and the saddle rails run out to the upper right, all drawn in open line with hatched shading. The word “BREVETÉ” is set in roman capitals reading downward in a single column at the left of the drawing and the four initials of the patent formula in a single column at the right. Below, the product line is set in bold sans serif with the trade name in heavy capitals, followed by one line of italic, the wholesaler’s line in bold roman and the town and department on the last line. No second color, no agency mark and no artist’s signature appear.]

[This advertisement shares page 172 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Duprat, Blindex, Bufflier, ALC, Maxi-Car, EMD and Elté, each held here as its own record.]
