MOTOBECANE

Bicycling has come of age in America, and MOTOBECANE has played an important role in that process.
You may be a racer, a tourer, a commuter, a novice or a recreational rider. Whatever your passion, MOTOBECANE has designed the bicycle you want. Our extensive history in bicycle design coupled with a strong tradition of European craftsmanship and a commitment to use only the finest components available put MOTOBECANE on top of the market.
Our bicycles are designed to fit three general categories: touring, sport and racing. Within each category you will find a variety of machines, including one that precisely meets your needs. Or, you can join our unique frame set program, and custom-tailor your own one-of-a-kind bicycle.
Several new models, including the NOMADE 1, the NOMADE 2 and the MIRAGE, are designed to open the world of cycling to individuals who might have less to spend, but still demand quality workmanship in the MOTOBECANE tradition.
Of course all models meet CPSC safety standards, as verified by an independent testing laboratory.
Each bicycle will be professionally assembled and aligned by your authorized MOTOBECANE dealer to guarantee that your purchase meets our own stringent quality requirements.

MOTOBECANE LIMITED WARRANTY

MOTOBECANE bicycles and component parts are warranted to the original retail purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship in accordance with the following terms and conditions. MOTOBECANE will repair or replace, at no charge to the original retail purchaser, for an unlimited time, the frame and fork of any MOTOBECANE bicycle determined by MOTOBECANE to be defective under the terms of this warranty. EXCEPT this limited warranty does not cover dealer labor charges incurred in the replacement of a defective frame and fork after one (1) year of the date of original retail purchase. The frame and/or fork may be replaced at the option of MOTOBECANE, either by a similar frame and/or fork or an equivalent frame and/or fork, according to availability, seasonal model and color modifications. MOTOBECANE will repair or replace, at no charge to the original retail purchaser, for a period of six (6) months from the date of original retail purchase, any MOTOBECANE component part determined to be defective under the terms of this warranty. “MOTOBECANE SHALL HAVE NO OBLIGATION WHATSOEVER UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DURING THE FIRST YEAR AFTER THE DATE OF ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE, UNLESS THE WARRANTY SERVICE PERFORMED DURING THIS ONE YEAR PERIOD IS PERFORMED BY AN AUTHORIZED MOTOBECANE DEALER.”
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY PERSONAL INJURIES, DAMAGE TO OR FAILURE OF THE BICYCLE OR ANY OTHER LOSS OR DAMAGE DUE TO MISUSE, NEGLIGENCE, ABUSE, NORMAL WEAR, ACCIDENT, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE OR MODIFICATION. Repair or replacement of defective parts as specified above shall be the sole remedy under this limited warranty and the sole liability of MOTOBECANE. IN NO EVENT SHALL MOTOBECANE BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THE ABOVE EXPRESS WARRANTY ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES THEREFORE. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING A WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE WHICH EXTENDS BEYOND THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

This bicycle is designed for normal on-street use. It is not designed or sold for use under any circumstances in motocross, stunt riding or similar activities. No power-driven fixture should be adapted on this bicycle. This limited warranty shall become null and void in the event of a violation of the provisions of this limited warranty. It is required that the original retail purchaser keep this warranty certificate in purchaser’s possession after being duly completed and countersigned by the MOTOBECANE dealer from whom the bicycle was purchased. ANY CLAIM MADE UNDER THIS WARRANTY MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THIS WARRANTY CERTIFICATE. Contact the local authorized MOTOBECANE dealer from whom you purchased your bicycle for service or replacement under this MOTOBECANE LIMITED WARRANTY. If you do not get satisfaction then contact your local MOTOBECANE distributor, or, if necessary, write for information and assistance to MOTOBECANE at the following address:

NOMADE 1

An inexpensive bicycle with a clean, rewarding ride. NOMADE 1 is ideal for students and others who want reliable, enjoyable transportation on a limited budget. Built with MOTOBECANE alloy side-pull brakes with safety levers, a SUN TOUR Honor derailleur and padded touring saddle, this bicycle will put you on wheels without peals of pain.

NOMADE 2

Like the NOMADE 1, this machine opens the world of cycling to thousands who might otherwise be priced out of the market. We have added touring bars to the 19½” ladies bicycle, all NOMADE 2 have SUN TOUR SEVEN derailleur, front and rear, quick release brake levers.

MOTOBECANE

MIRAGE

If you are a recreational rider or commuter, you want quality and reliability without buying more machine than you need. That’s the MIRAGE. It’s fun, it’s sturdy and we have added more than 10 significant improvements to this year’s model, including Michelin tires, Weinmann 731 alloy sidepull brakes.

SUPER MIRAGE

An attractive, versatile bicycle that’s ideal for the Sunday spin as well as the occasional long tour. We have paid close attention to the cosmetics on the SUPER MIRAGE, but not at the cost of design or mechanical quality. Numerous modifications in this year’s model–

GRAND TOURING

Serious bicycle travelers demand the kind of durability, dependability and sturdy workmanship we’ve invested in this touring machine. The lightweight frame is constructed with state-of-the-art technology to insure lasting strength. Extended oval chainstays allow the addition of rear fenders. A suede-style Anatomique seat guarantees comfort over the long haul. Fifteen speeds enable the cyclist to handle all grades and terrains. A total of 12 modifications put this year’s model on a new plateau.

GRAND JUBILE

This is a top of the line touring machine that guarantees miles of delight for the non-racing afficionado. Great for a frivolous afternoon cruise, the GRAND JUBILEE also offers dependability and comfort on extended trips. This year’s model features an improved SIMPLEX SX410GT/SP derailleur, MFAC Competition brakes and the finest alloy components.

JUBILE SPORT

Designed for the new converts to the cycling lifestyle, this model is sprightly, responsive and emminently affordable. Youthful racers will find in the frisky JUBILE SPORT, a perfect introduction to a lifetime of competitive riding. This model features Weinmann 506 brakes with racing drilled levers, a Suntour “Blue Line” derailleur, Shimano 400 hubs with quick releases and weighs only 23.7 lbs.

GRAND RECORD

Think craftsmanship and competition when you mount this bicycle. This is a lightweight training machine loaded with racing components.
