[A long narrow ruled advertisement in black and white. At the far left a pennant staff is drawn in outline running down the edge, topped by a small elephant mascot. At the far right a motorcycle hand muff is drawn in loose pen line with a few hatch strokes. In the center the trademark shows a running stick figure taking a huge stride in bold pen line, the words “Marque” and “Deposee” hand-lettered on two arrows beside it and the name “L’ARPENTEUR” in heavy sans serif capitals between its feet, with the Paris address and telephone in small bold type beneath. The product lists either side are set in heavy and condensed sans serif capitals, and a line of condensed capitals runs the full width across the foot. No signature appears.]
