[A full-page advertisement in black and white within a heavy single frame. A pen drawing in plain outline runs down the right side: at the top a handlebar with a small lever unit clamped to it, its knob ball-shaped and its cap marked with a tiny “ROTA” monogram, and a long rod running from it down past the steering head and fork crown to a large drum bell clamped to the fork blade beside the tire. The bell’s face is drawn in close stippled texture and lettered “LE TOURBILLON” around its upper edge, “BREVETE S.G.D.G.” around its center boss and the monogram “ROTA” in a black oval below, with the R, the O crossed by the stem of the T and the A run together. “LE TOURBILLON” crosses the page in very large open inline capitals with a black outline. At the left a large black oval carries the same “ROTA” monogram reversed out in white, and the claims follow in bold sans-serif capitals, a slogan in script with the name again in heavy condensed capitals, and the selling line in bold italic and capitals; thin leader lines run from the text to the drawing and cross several words. The firm’s name, L’Emboutissage Industriel, Victor Simon, and its Villeurbanne (Rhône) address run across the foot in bold sans-serif. No signature or agency mark appears.
