[A ruled advertisement drawn throughout as hand lettering, with no photograph, inside a frame of a thin and a thick black rule. At the head the marque sits in a solid black lozenge, the letters “IRM” reserved in white and drawn so that the R and the M run together. On either side of the lozenge are three solid black discs of graded size, the largest outermost, each with a ragged white center, standing for balls. Below them the text is lettered in a heavy condensed display face of uneven stroke width, the letters of each line squeezed together to fill the measure: “BILLES CYCLES” on the first line with the letters tall and narrow, “DE PRÉCISION” on the second in a rounder heavy face, then two lines of slightly smaller lettering giving the steel and the sizes. A pair of rules, one thin over one thick, divides the lettering from the foot. The address occupies a solid black panel across the bottom, with the street, the city and arrondissement and the telephone number lettered in white on three lines. No signature or agency mark appears, and no type from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 132 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Bertin, Peugeot and AFCO, each held here as its own record.]
