Fuji’s 1986 catalog, Edition No. 16, is incomplete in this copy as scanned. Four pages are missing between the Dyna-Mite and Mini-Mite page and the Design Series spread: they show through their neighbors in mirror image, a heading beginning “Fu” on the first and “FRAME GEOMETRY” on the last. The back cover is missing too. The 29 pages that survive, from the Opus III and Team Fuji to the Lil’ Fuji, are transcribed in full below.

FUJI Design Series

FUJI Design Series
Fuji is proud to announce its long-awaited Design Series Frame Program. These flawessly Hand-crafted framesets are available in a competition proven Road Racing Series or the Mark Gorski Signature Series Track model.
The Design Series Framesets are constructed with Ishiwata’s prestigious 019E Quaduple Butted Chrome molybdenum tubing, SunTour Superbe dropouts and an Investment Cast fork crown and bottom bracket shell. Our Fuji craftsmen hand braze, miter and file each and every frame with uncompromising attention to detail. After careful inspection, each frameset proceeds through a five coat finishing process, including a clear final coat, to produce a unique two-tone color scheme.

[Frame geometry tables for road and track framesets, set beside three close-up photographs of a wine-colored lugged frame and a blue engineering drawing of the frame overprinted with the letters a to i. The photographs show the seat cluster with a white script signature on the top tube, the chrome fork crown and headset, and the chrome-faced dropouts; the drawing’s own small annotations in Japanese are too small to read at this resolution.]
