[A full-height advertisement printed in red and black with no ruled frame: the border is itself a braided elastic luggage strap (sandow), drawn in red with black hatching, which runs around the edges and crosses the middle in a large figure of eight. At the top center, a red shield with a white center carries the italic initials “EFD”, lettered around with “SANDOWS POUR CYCLES • MOTOS • AUTOS”. Near the right, the strap ends in a wire-wound ferrule and a spring snap hook (« mousqueton »), its gate drawn in red; at the lower left a cut end of the strap is drawn in section, showing the outer braid, the multi-strand rubber core and the inner braid, each named in red italic capitals with red arrows. Two red rounded panels reverse out in white the words “DOUBLE COUVERTURE” and the firm’s name, Lyon address and telephone number. No signature or agency mark.]
