[A ruled advertisement set entirely in type and lettering, printed in black on tinted paper, with no drawing or photograph. At the upper left a black star precedes the word “CYCLES” in bold condensed capitals inside a small bordered box, with three lines in plain sans-serif type beneath it, each led by a dash and naming a kind of cycle. The firm’s name “Dilecta” is lettered across the whole page on a rising diagonal from lower left to upper right in very large black script with thick strokes, the tail of the final letter sweeping up and over to the right and a long swash rule running beneath the letters. In the lower half a second star precedes “CYCLOMOTEURS”, again in bold condensed capitals in a bordered box, and the engine lines below it are set in bold sans-serif and condensed capitals, centered. The slogan “Toutes les côtes sans pédaler” follows in bold italic type between quotation marks. The maker’s name and the Paris agency address close the panel in bold capitals and sans-serif type, and a line below the ruled frame gives the hall and the stand number in spaced capitals. No artist signature is visible.]
[This advertisement shares page 58 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for the wholesale house of André Bertin and the Helyett cyclomoteur.]
