ACCESSOIRES EN GROS

[An advertisement in a double-rule frame. “LES CYCLES SINGER” is hand-lettered at the top in heavy, irregular display capitals, the “S” of “SINGER” much taller than the rest and the thin “LES” perched above the “Y” of “CYCLES”. At the center is a dark globe, its continents mottled, across which the slogan “sillonnent le monde” is lettered in white slanting script; two tiny cyclists ride around its rim, one at the upper left and one at the lower right. The firm’s address and “ACCESSOIRES EN GROS” are set in sans serif, condensed capitals and a light serif at the foot. A tiny agency mark at the right of the globe is too worn to read with certainty, perhaps “PUB. [?]”.]

[This advertisement shares page 41 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Larpenteur, Brasobloc, Soupl, the Mistral pump, Mephisto and Marcel Guillen, each held here as its own record, below the magazine’s form for the trade-union label.]
