[A ruled advertisement in black and white inside a thin double-line border, with a double rule dividing the lower address block from the upper picture field. At the left a line-engraved drawing shows a statue of a knight in armor standing on a stepped stone base: he has shoulder-length hair, a breastplate, mail skirt and leg armor, his left arm hangs with the index finger pointing down and his right hand rests on a tall staff. The name “BAYARD” is lettered on the upper step of the base and the motto in thin capitals on the side of the plinth. At the right the words “RAYONS ÉCROUS pour CYCLES et MOTOCYCLES” are set in large, slanting, hand-brushed capitals that climb to the right, with a swept brush stroke trailing from the last word. Down the right edge a small vertical line of type reads “PUB. S.O.S.P.” as an agency mark. In the lower block the firm’s title is set in italic and spaced roman capitals, with the address, factory and Hall du Cycle stand lines in bold and light grotesque type, centered. No artist signature is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 116 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Pelissier, held here as its own record, and one for K.L.G. spark plugs.]
