[A landscape advertisement without a frame, printed in black on the untinted paper and built of flat black shapes, bands of fine diagonal hatching and reserved cream. A black bar across the top left carries the opening line in a white brush script. At the right the initials stand very large in black, a small drawn asterisk above them with a thin rule dropping from it down the page to a second asterisk and on to the foot. Two lines of black brush script run across a hatched band under the initials. The left half of the panel is a solid black field on which a cycle mudguard is drawn in white line, seen in profile as a long curve with its stay and bridge, the rolled edge and the fluting shown by fine white lines and a row of small cells along the inner face, and a bullet-shaped mudguard lamp standing on its crown. A large cream oval, laid over the black field and overlapping the cream ground at its right, holds a three-line black brush script. The registration line is set in small letter-spaced capitals reading upward in the narrow cream wedge between the black field and the bar above. At the right the product and the proprietor’s name are set in black, the first in a sloped sans serif with a lighter italic beside it and the second in heavy capitals that overrun the hatched bands behind them. A black bar across the foot carries the address and telephone in reversed white, the town in bold and the department in brackets below. The agency mark “SOSP” is set in a small ruled box in the top right corner, reading downward, and the signature “Jean Pernot” is lettered in script reading upward in the bottom left corner.]

[This advertisement shares page 68 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Dunois, held here as its own record.]
