[A ruled advertisement in black and white with a light ground and large solid black panels. A black band across the head carries the words “Incassable, Inoxydable” in reversed brush script, and below it four short lines of bold sans-serif type step down from left to right to praise the product. A large black panel at the lower left holds a line drawing in reversed white lines of a curved cycle mudguard with a pointed tail, a tapering rear lamp on its crown, a row of small scalloped ornaments along the rim and two thin stays running to a small eyelet; a slanted white-on-black strip beside it reads “MARQUE ET MODÈLE DÉPOSÉS”. At the right the mark “O.G.I.” stands in large heavy roman capitals with a small asterisk above the last letter, a narrow boxed vertical word “SOSP” sits at the far edge, and under the mark a rounded cartouche with scrolled sides holds four lines of spaced capitals. An oval in black outline holds “En alliage léger” in brush script. Further right “GARDE-BOUE pour cycles” is set in a shaded italic face above a band of fine diagonal hatching, the name “R. CAGNION” stands in heavy condensed capitals with a thin vertical line dropping from the letter I to the base, a second hatched band follows and a solid black strip at the foot carries the address in reversed type, with “NEMOURS” in bold. The artist’s signature “Jean Pernot” is written vertically up the left edge beneath the drawing. No text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 182 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Niflex and Eberlein, each held here as its own record.]
