[A wide ruled advertisement in black on the cream stock, the panel closed by a thin rule. The design is a collage: the ground is solid black and over it are laid a dozen white cards, each tilted at a slight angle and each carrying the name of a lighting or accessory make in a drawn lettering of its own, with the goods drawn on it in plain outline line engraving. The cards named “LUXOR”, “SOUBITEZ”, “CATAMIXT”, “JOS”, “PYB”, “EDELKO”, “Vitalux”, “Radsonne” with “IMPORTÉ D’ALLEMAGNE” under it, “NOVI”, “CIBIÉ” and “SUPER” with a diamond mark lettered R, O, B and B hold between them teardrop and bullet headlamps seen in three-quarter view and from the side, a honeycomb-lensed rear lamp, bottle dynamos standing upright with knurled caps, dynamo brackets and clamps, a cylindrical switch body, lens covers, a lamp bracket and a hand lamp. A further card shows a box lettered “CABLE ÉLECTRIQUE” and “VELOFIL” with its small type and a coil of wire and a reel beside it, and another shows a drawing marked “oscillante” between two small bulb holders. The card at the lower right carries a flat pocket lamp with a round lens, two batteries lettered “PILE WONDER”, a bulb, a coil of flex, a “Porte-ampoules” and a tubular hand lamp captioned “Dépanneuse”. At the right a block of display type set in heavy shaded italic capitals and bold sans-serif gives the selling line and the firm’s name, street, arrondissement, telephone and the word “EXPORTATIONS”. The agency mark “PUB. THOMAS” is reversed out of the black ground at the lower right corner, set vertically and reading upward. No second color is used, and nothing shows through from the reverse of the leaf; the figures giving the cable lengths and the small line under “CABLE ÉLECTRIQUE” are too fine to read.]
