[A wide ruled advertisement in black and white within a double frame, its heavier outer rule shadowing the right and bottom. Pen drawings of the parts the wholesaler stocks are spread around a tilted white card at the center, each named beneath in small capitals with its brand in quotation marks: a front hub with drilled flanges, a leather saddle with a cantle plate lettered “PRYMA”, a crank arm, a dropped handlebar with its stem, a block pedal with a pierced cage, a front caliper brake, a rear derailleur with its chain, a freewheel block, a rim with a ribbed mudguard and a second rim, a spoke, a frame pump, a domed bell and a crank with its spider arms lettered “STRONGLIGHT”. The card, hung by a loop from a cord at its upper right corner and given a heavy black shadow, carries “Spécialités” in large bold script over a line of spaced capitals listing pumps, annular hubs, magnetos, lighting, frames and Stronglight chainrings and cranks, then “Vente exclusive en gros” in script and “ETS YVARS” in very large heavy capitals with the Paris address and telephone set along its lower edge. Two lines of further brands run across the foot in condensed capitals. The artist’s signature “CERKEL.” is lettered in small capitals in the upper left corner of the panel.
