[A tall advertisement printed in two colors, black and a light grass green, inside a frame of a thin and a thick black rule. The head reads “Productions” in heavy condensed green sans-serif running into “VBF” in very large green capitals, with “SALON 1952” in black shaded fat-face capitals and figures set under the first word. The panel is then divided into four stacked compartments, each opened at the left and right by short upright rules and a double rule. The first three are headed by a model name in large green letters — “CYCLOREV” twice in a light sloping sans-serif and “Vélomoteur” with the model name “AMBASSADOR” in heavy green capitals between raised inverted commas — each followed by a black line in light sans-serif giving the type and the engine, with the capacity figures in green. The first two compartments hold a halftone photograph of a motorized bicycle seen from the left side on a white ground, the first machine shown complete with a shaped tank over the top tube, the second with a carrier and a bag at the rear; the third holds a photograph of a machine with telescopic front forks and a headlamp. The fourth compartment names the child’s machine, “Le jouet sportif” in light green with “BABYREV” in heavy green italic capitals, over a line of three letter-spaced black words. Below the compartments the words “CYCLES VBF” stand in very large heavy green sans-serif capitals, with the maker’s name “G. BALLANDRAS” in black condensed capitals at the left and the street, town and telephone number in two bold lines at the right. A last line of letter-spaced black capitals gives the hall and the stand number. No signature or agency mark appears, and no type from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 135 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Nervex, held here as its own record.]
