[Front cover, printed in blue-black on cream wrappers. SAISON 1901 is set in letterpress capitals above a double-ruled border. Within it a tonal lithograph: TERROT arches across the head of the plate in tall outlined capitals, with DIJON in script beside the rider’s head. A young woman in a boater, white blouse and dark bow tie rides toward the viewer down a curving track, one hand raised to her collar and her skirt gathered over the rear wheel. Behind her a stone tunnel mouth frames a headlamp-lit automobile and a locomotive under steam, so that road and rails run out of the same arch. CYCLES stands at the left edge and AUTOMOBILES climbs the right. At lower right a chainwheel wrapped in its chain carries the words CHAINE TERROT / Bté S.G.D.G. The engraver signed Kossuth. sc in the lower left corner of the plate, and a typographic ornament closes the sheet below the border.]
