[A ruled advertisement in black occupying most of a page, its frame given a heavy drop shadow at the right and foot. “Les freins” in tall condensed sans-serif over four rules faces “Sider” in very large heavy condensed capitals across the head. At the left a rectangular halftone photograph shows a cantilever brake mounted on the blades of a fork below the crown: two curved arms linked by a straddle cable at the top, each carrying a brake block above a pivot boss, with the steerer and cable stop rising behind. The claims are set at the right in bold sans-serif capitals for the model names, light sans-serif for their details and bold italic for the qualities. “Sider” repeats near the foot in wide spaced capitals over a boxed italic catalog line, with the Saint-Étienne address at the lower left in bold condensed type and capitals. No artist’s signature is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 98 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for A.M.B., held here as its own record, and one for Luxor headlamps for motor machines.]
