[A landscape advertisement inside a thin rule that is broken at the upper left, where the drawing runs out past it. At the left a handlebar end is drawn in plain outline, without shading: the bar sweeping down to a fluted grip, the stem and its binder bolt at the far left, and a watch clamped to the bar on a wide band. The watch alone is reproduced in halftone, a dark round dial with white figures from 1 to 12 and white hands, set in a knurled bezel, and a long curved line with an arrowhead leads from the heading down to it. The heading stands at the right in heavy sans-serif capitals, the model name on the second line between drawn quotation marks, and a light sans-serif italic paragraph of three lines runs under it, closed by a short centered rule. Three lines of letter-spaced bold capitals are ranged at the center of the lower half. Across the foot the maker’s name is set in a heavy slab-serif capital between two rules, one thick and one thin above and a single rule below, with the commercial address and telephone line in roman and italic underneath. No photograph of the complete machine, no signature and no agency mark appear.]
[This advertisement shares page 74 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Reydel, held here as its own record.]
