RALEIGH

Precision. That’s the key word with Raleigh racers. Every model we produce is superbly engineered down to the most minute detail.
If you’re into racing in a serious way, our specialised lightweight workshop can offer you frames in 531 tubing. In the kind of geometry preferred by Tour de France riders.
Naturally, all the skills and technology learnt in making these ultimate machines also go into the making of every Raleigh racing bicycle. From our top-of-the-range 12-speed lightweight models to our junior sports and sports tourers, it’s precision all the way.
Five-speed, Ten-speed, Sports Tourers with mudguards, Racers without, Gents’ bikes, Ladies’ bikes, we’ve got them all and more besides. At every price level.
What’s more, since the formation of the professional TI Raleigh Campagnolo team, many of our bikes have been fitted with Campagnolo gears and equipment as standard. Yet another indication of our determination to produce supreme machines.
So whatever kind of racer you want, you know it’ll be the best in its class. And to help you enjoy it to the full, Raleigh also have a wide range of specialised clothing and accessories. Everything you could ever need. You’ll find them at Raleigh dealers along with the bikes.
To help guide you through our range, you will find our models in descending price order. Our specialist TI Reynolds 531 Lightweight cycles are listed on pages 4 to 7. The general range is described on pages 8 to 13.
We have also listed each model’s important features against its photograph. For details of the full specification, check the tables which appear on pages 7, 14, and 15.
Pop along to your local Raleigh dealer and have a browse. Try the bikes for size. Remember, frame size is vital for safety, speed and comfort. You’ll find a chart of ideal frame sizes for height and inside leg measurements on this page.
Happy Raleigh racing.

Height (Within 3in) | Ideal Frame Size | Probable Inside Leg
6ft 2in | 64cm (25in) | 33 – 36in
6ft | 60cm (23½in) | 32 – 35in
5ft 8in | 57cm (22½in) | 30 – 33in
5ft 6in | 54½cm (21in) | 29 – 32in
5ft 4in | 51cm (20in) | 28 – 31in
5ft 2in | 50cm (19½in) | 27 – 30in
5ft 1in | 47cm (18½in) | 26 – 29in
5ft | 46cm (18in) | 25 – 28in
The nominal frame size is the measurement from the top of the seat tube (where the saddle fits into the frame) down to the centre of the bottom bracket axle (the axle which carries the pedal cranks).

[An introduction page under the Raleigh logo, with a group photograph of the professional team riders in red, yellow and black Raleigh jerseys and two men in suits, posed with bicycles and Raleigh team cars. A boxed chart gives ideal frame sizes by rider height and inside leg; the photograph is not captioned.]
