[A tall narrow ruled advertisement in black and white on a single column, closed along the bottom by a heavy ruled line. “ONOTO” stands across the head in very large heavy roman capitals with a soft offset shadow. Beneath it, in small type, come the company line and “FONDÉE en 1906”, a short rule, the office address in a light italic with “DOLE (Jura)” in letter-spaced capitals, and a second short rule. Two lines of thin, widely spaced sans-serif capitals name the manufactures, and a bold italic line, “vous offre pour la saison 1956 :”, leads into the drawing. The drawing is a line engraving with fine hatching of a streamlined motorcycle in side view with the front on the right: a fully enclosed body and tank carrying a script name on the tank, a dual seat with a carrier rack, deep valanced fenders, an exposed kick-starter and a silencer low on the left, telescopic fork, wire wheels and a small round headlamp. The signature “Rebour” is set in a stylized hand with a boxed or underlined flourish at the lower center of the drawing, beneath the engine. Below the drawing a bold italic line names the YDRAL motor, followed by two lines of italic text on the factories, a short rule, and a list of five items marked with black stars in light sans-serif capitals with descriptions beneath in small type. At the right of the list a slanted rectangular label, drawn tilted and ruled in black, carries in small letters the recommendation of Motul oils with “MOTUL” in heavy black capitals and “MIX-COURSES” on a lower band. A short rule, “ONOTO en 1936” in bold letter-spaced capitals with two small italic lines, another short rule and “Ses 3 USINES” in bold italic capitals lead to three lines of light sans-serif capitals, each followed by an indented italic address ending in the town name “DOLE”. The right-hand ends of the two spaced capital lines near the top lose their last letter to the right edge. Faint show-through of text from the reverse of the leaf appears beside the Motul label and the list.]
