Nous vous rappelons qu’en 1939, une étude de la structure de l’Industrie Française du cycle établie par l’Office Professionnel de l’Automobile et du Cycle répartissait la construction nationale en trois groupes. Le premier était le groupe de l’Est totalisant 180.000 machines. Parmi les trois constructeurs de ce groupe se touvaient les Établissements Bourgeois constructeurs des Cycles Onoto.
