Les principaux types actuels
This is a magazine article, so its running text is summarized here rather than reproduced; the headline, byline, specifications and scores are transcribed as printed.
From L’Officiel du cycle, du motocycle et du camping, 1 October 1955, N° 20, the paper’s special number before the Salon du Cycle at the Porte de Versailles, page 47: sturmey-Archer hub types AW, AM, AC, FW, FM, FC, TCW (3-speed with coaster brake), BFC and BRC drum brakes, trigger control on the handlebar. The title, headings, captions and lists are transcribed as printed; the text is summarized in Ebykr’s words, and the page images carry it in full.

[Ebykr summary, end of the notice; the article’s text is not reproduced. The notice, cut here from its middle, says that Sturmey-Archer has never stopped widening the range of its products, so that there is now a hub of the make suited to every category of user. The production of the first Sturmey-Archer hub revolutionized cycling by allowing longer outings with less fatigue, and hills and headwinds lost their fearsome reputation. The Sturmey-Archer hubs are said to be especially appreciated by women, because the trigger-type gear change (type gâchette), mounted on the handlebar, gives the wanted reduction with a light touch of the finger.]
Les principaux types actuels
[Ebykr summary; the article’s text is not reproduced. The main current types are listed as follows: the standard AW, successor to the original model; the AM and AC for sporting cyclists; the ABC with drum brake, all of these with three speeds; the FW, answering the demands of the most advanced cycling; the FM, similar to the FW but meant for sporting cyclists wanting closer gear steps; and the FC, designed for road racing, these last three with four speeds. The notice singles out a new model, the TCW, with three speeds and a coaster (back-pedaling) brake, much appreciated by cyclists who like that kind of very powerful and very safe braking. Finally Sturmey-Archer also makes excellent drum-brake models without gear change: the BFC type for the front wheel and the BRC type for the rear.]
[Text only: the lower part of a single column of justified body text with no heading, no illustration and no signature. The type is a roman serif with most of the lines set in italic and a few phrases in bold roman, among them “très particulièrement appréciés des dames” and “Les principaux types actuels”, which run on within the paragraphs. The paragraphs open with a short indent. The first line begins mid-sentence at the top edge of the crop, so the opening words of the notice and the firm’s heading fall above the cut. No address or stand number appears in this part.]
