LA PERLE
CYCLES

[Design: a ruled frame with a heavy black bar along the right half of the top edge and another along the left half of the bottom edge. “CYCLES” is set in small letterspaced capitals above the name “LA PERLE” in very large bold serif capitals between quotation marks. At the left is the La Perle head badge: a black shield with a pointed base, a ribbon scroll across the top lettered “LA PERLE”, a radiant pearl at the center between two laurel or wheat sprays, and a small scroll at the bottom lettered “CYCLES”, all drawn in white line. The three claims at the right are separated by short black rules; the wholesale line is in bold italic above a rule, and the address and branches are in a heavy condensed serif. No signature or agency mark found.]

[This advertisement shares page 36 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Argaud, La Pitchoune II, C.L.E.M., Birdo, Strong and Fiducia, each held here as its own record, and others for Merat seats for vélomoteurs and motorcycles and J. Bonnefoy cream separators.]
