[A ruled advertisement in black and white, framed by thin rules thickened into heavy bars along the upper right and lower left. “CYCLES” in spaced bold capitals and “LA PERLE” in very large heavy roman capitals between quotation marks run across the head. At the left a line drawing of a pointed shield in solid black carries a scroll lettered “LA PERLE”, a pearl radiating fine rays between two ears of wheat and a lower scroll lettered “CYCLES”. At the right the claims are set in centered bold sans-serif and divided by short heavy rules: the great marque, the directeur sportif Francis Pélissier, and twenty-five years of effort with more than 500 victories, followed by an offer of the agency. The wholesale line naming M. Guyot is set in bold italic over a rule, and the Saint-Maur (Seine) address and the branches at Caen, Rennes and Saint-Étienne close the panel in a heavy condensed roman. No signature or agency mark appears. Faint text from the reverse of the leaf shows through near the middle.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Vélodécor, Mistral, Chazal-Rouchouse, CLB, Metalloplan and Bourguignon, each held here as its own record, and others for the F.L. lining tool, Goetz pistons and C.P.D.M. connecting-rod reconditioning.]
