SALON DU CYCLE PORTE DE VERSAILLES STAND No 5

[A horizontal half-page advertisement in black on cream inside a double-ruled frame. Two finely stippled pen drawings of leather saddles face each other across the panel: at the lower left a long racing saddle seen from the side, its badges reading “MADE IN FRANCE”, “TB”, “IDEALE”, “59” and “PROFESSIONNEL” and, on a second oval, “CROUPON 1er Choix TRAITÉ”, with a row of large rivets along its flank; at the upper right a saddle seen from the front three-quarter, its nose plate lettered “Bté S.G.D.G.” and its badge “PROFESSIONNEL”, “T”, “IDEALE”, “B”, “51” and “CYCLO …” (the last words not legible). Under each drawing the name “IDÉALE” in very large bold display capitals, the D set inside the curve of a tall I; the model numbers stand in two small ruled boxes, the two slogans in bold italic over rules, and the Salon line in a light roman across the foot between double rules. The drawings are signed “REBOUR” (lettered “ReBouR”) in a small hand-drawn box at the right, under the rear of the left saddle. Show-through of text columns from the other side of the leaf is visible over the ground; it is not part of this advertisement.]

[This advertisement shares page 64 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Reinhard et Chapuiset, held here as its own record, and one for the Métalloplan cyclomoteur.]
