[A ruled advertisement in black and white, cut at the top and the right by the neighboring panels’ heavy rules. At the left the type is set in italic and roman lines of several sizes: an italic heading, “TAN-SAD” in bold spaced capitals between two stars, and a smaller block of roman capitals, followed by a heavy-ruled box that holds an underlined italic heading and a list of colors joined by a brace. At the right a line drawing with shaded stippling shows a child’s seat: a dark dished seat pierced with a few small holes sits on a bent frame with two wire foot rests, a padded back bar rises behind it and two leather safety straps with buckles loop round it, and the whole is clamped to a bar of the bicycle with small bolts. Small oval labels on the back bar and on the seat read “IDEALE” with “TAN-SAD JUNIOR” beneath. Below the box a two-line roman sentence closes the panel. The drawing is signed at the lower right “Rebour” with a “DR” monogram. No agency mark is visible.]
[This advertisement shares page 174 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Idéale, Ad-Hoc and Ruche, each held here as its own record, and one for Tron et Berthet.]
