[A tall advertisement in two color fields, printed in red and black. The upper two thirds is a solid black block. Down its left side six headings in heavy red sans-serif capitals, each underlined with a red rule, are stacked, and beside the first four, in cream spaced roman capitals, runs a short description, the last in a smaller sans-serif; the last two headings have no description beside them. Below them “HUTCHINSON” is set in very large red condensed capitals, and its final letter is overlapped by a small line drawing at the right of a clown-like workman in a spotted suit and a battered top hat who leans over a tire stretched on a three-legged stool. A pink halftone field fills the lower third. It carries a second “HUTCHINSON” in large black capitals and an oval cream badge with a black outline holding the words “à l’Aigle” in heavy slanted lettering, then the clothing and footwear lines in spaced roman capitals. At the foot a black arrow labeled “AU SALON…” in white italic points at a tilted cream card with a heavy black shadow along its right and lower edges, which lists the two Salon locations in mixed spaced and bold capitals separated by a double rule. No artist signature is visible.]
[This advertisement shares page 198 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Pivo, held here as its own record.]
