[A full page advertisement in black, magenta and pink, in two parts. The upper two thirds is a solid black panel. Down its left side six product words stand in heavy magenta capitals, each underscored by a magenta rule: PNEUS, BOYAUX, BANDAGES, ACCESSOIRES, COURROIES and TUYAUX. To the right of the first four, short descriptions are set in cream spaced roman capitals, the last of them in smaller sans-serif capitals on a slightly lighter patch. Near the foot of the black panel the name “HUTCHINSON” fills the width in very large magenta condensed capitals, partly overlapped at the right by a drawing of a bearded man in a top hat, rolled sleeves and polka-dot trousers, seated behind a large round tire that he holds upright on a small rush-seated chair; he is drawn in black line with a magenta tint. The lower third is a pink halftone ground. On it “HUTCHINSON” repeats in very large black condensed capitals, with “à l’Aigle” in black italic inside a white oval at the right. Under it three groups of spaced capitals list waterproof clothing, boots and shoes, with the uses at the right in small bold type. At the left a black banner with a curved arrow and the words “AU SALON…” in white italic points to a cream placard tilted slightly on the page and edged with a heavy black shadow along its right and lower sides. The placard is split by a double rule into two notices: the motor show hall above, and the cycle show with its stand number below, set in capitals and sans-serif type of several sizes. No artist signature is visible.]
