The Italian block which is used almost universally on the Continent and in this Country. Suitable for use with all gears, it is designed with flush back and narrow body, leaving ample spindle on Quick Release hubs. Compare Regina to any other and note the superior finish and smoothness of operation. All cogs detachable 13–28T. The 13 tooth top sprocket requires a different body and second cog to the standard freewheel. Available 13/15 or 13/16, all other cogs are interchangeable.

GEARS
(All Derailleur Spares Stocked)
CAMPAGNOLO GRAN SPORT
The “KING OF GEARS”. Equalled by none; envied by all. Its patented action ensures a rapid and positive change under any conditions. The cantilever arm movement, machined from bronze, obviates the use of a rigid arm which is always liable to accidental damage. The roller bearing cage is fully supported in all positions, being locked to the body instead of “floating” on the end of a shaft. Moving parts liable to wear are reduced to four pins which are fitted with phosphor-bronze bushes, whilst the two pulley wheels are of exceedingly hard-wearing high tensile steel. The precision workmanship, the materials used and the excellent finish combine to produce a gear which will give first class service.
Proved supreme during 1958. Used by every major “Tour” winner and the World Professional Road Champion.

PEDALS
CAMPAGNOLO. A product of the Italian engineering firm which specialises in producing only the finest cycle components. Technicians have carefully designed these pedals in close co-operation with the racing men who have tested the many prototypes. The result . . . A pedal of outstanding class . . . first brought to public notice when used by leading riders in the 1956 Tour de France and since used by them in all Classic Continental Races.
The highly polished alloy barrel of forged single unit construction. houses races which, following modern engineering practice, utilise a special hard chrome finish for exceptional bearing life. The spindle is of Nickel Chrome, ground and polished between centres, the bearing radius and cone being finished in the same hard chrome as the barrel races. A friction-free oilseal concealed between the barrel and spindle combines with the perfectly fitted dust-cap to effectively prevent any dust penetrating. The frame of best quality steel, exceptionally heavily chromed, further demonstrates the careful planning behind all Campagnolo products. Two special clips retain the toe-strap in the correct position for use and assisted by a small projection on the back plate, enable the clip to be “picked up” smoothly. Special provision is made for the correct positioning of the toe clip by two neat chrome-plated studs set in the front plate. These obviate the necessity of ugly plates and nuts inside the pedal frame … 59/6 per pair

SEAT PIN
CAMPAGNOLO. An invention which received acclaim during the 1956 and 1957 “Tours” being described as “a great boon to racing cyclists”. Allowing meticulous adjustment, twin steel bolts operate through nickel steel clamping arms to lock the saddle immovably into position. Taking the place of the normal seat pin and saddle clip, this latest Campagnolo product completely removes the chance of clip breakage over rough roads and allows the saddle to be set with a nicety that cannot be obtained by the usual method.
The clip is finished in dull and polished chrome, set into a highly polished pin. Sizes: 3, 4 and 5 … 36/-

BETTER but
CHEAPER
for 1959
TUBULARS
For 1959, the 21st year of their importation into Gt. Britain, D’ALESSANDRO TUBULARS have made substantial reductions in prices. These are the result of the re-planning of their production, consequent upon their removal to a new, specially designed factory in Milan. D’Alessandro’s have always been popular amongst Continental “Aces” and World Champion, Ercole BALDINI, following the example of his predecessor, Rik van Steenbergen, will be using them exclusively during 1959.
IMPERFORABILE. Recognised everywhere as being “THE JOB”. This fine tyre although light will give an incredible number of racing miles and proves to be an economical purchase for the serious racing man who competes at all distances. 9¾ ozs. Elastic raw rubber strip between a very hard rubber tread and the light “Sea Island” cotton pocket, is the secret of its durability and of its amazing resistance to punctures. Usually with file pattern but can be supplied with matt tread … 69/11
