INTRODUCING TO THE CLUBMAN
THE FINEST POSTWAR ACCESSORY YET – –
THE ‘ALLEZ’ PEDAL
This is undoubtedly THE super pedal – every point in the design has been the
subject of careful thought and the manufacture has been to very fine limits.
There is no need for any rider to wish for a pre-war Continental pedal – – –
The “ALLEZ” puts them all in the shade !
Take a look at the outstanding features outlined below –
POINT 1. Appearance – top class.
POINT 2. Weight. Only 10½ ozs. for the pair.
POINT 3. Bearings. 5/32″ balls throughout.
POINT 4. Spindle and cone. Both of high grade
aircraft quality steel, scientifically heat treated to
give maximum toughness and durability. Heavily
plated finish.
POINT 5. End and sideplates are stamped in one
piece from heavy gauge duralumin to give long
wearing life.
POINT 6. Barrel and frame. An aluminium alloy
pressure diecasting in one piece so that the frame
can never work loose from the barrel.
POINT 7. The “Quill” type outer ends are so
designed that the greatest ground clearance is
obtained when cornering. They also obviate sharp
bends in the toestraps when these are led outside
the end plates.
POINT 8. Dustcap and cone locknut. Both are
machined from solid duralumin bar. The dustcap is
specially designed with the thread on the outside
so that it screws right into the pedal frame. The
end is knurled also slotted to take a screwdriver
to facilitate removal.
POINT 9. The spindle is of the “hollow” pattern
for lightness. It is drilled out 1/4″[?] in diameter to the
maximum safe depth of 1″.
POINT 10. A felt washer is fitted in the inner
bearing to exclude all grit and water.
POINT 11. Although not appearing to be, the
pedal is a full 4″ wide to take a large size shoe.
POINT 12. The fitting shoulder is easily accessible
and is marked to show “R” and “L”.
