MODELE DEPOSE

[A wide, shallow advertisement in a single ruled frame, the firm’s name and address in one line of condensed sans-serif across the top. Three finely engraved tools stand along the panel: at the left a bench tool with a long curved lever handle, a clamp and a sliding bar on a round base, its handle lettered in tiny capitals with the maker’s name; at the center a large die stock with two long knurled handles, three thumbscrews and a dial on the die head marked “25” and “100”; at the right a hand-cranked tool with a large toothed wheel and crank handle on a cast bracket, the bracket’s plate lettered with the four lines transcribed last. The slogan and the catalog line are set between the tools. A small script monogram that reads like “mrg” is engraved at the lower right of the hand-crank tool and again at the lower left of the lever tool’s base, with what may be a letter “E” after it there. No agency mark. Type from the reverse of the leaf shows through the paper.]

[This advertisement shares page 122 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Pivo and Argaud, each held here as its own record, and others for the Elie Huin vélomoteurs and motorcycles and the Mochet voiturette.]
