A tilted cream panel at the upper right carries “ÉTABLISSEMENTS” in small capitals, “LANDON” in very large heavy sans-serif capitals and “Père & Fils,” the town and the department in a rounded sans-serif. “Nos Spécialités :” is written below it in large cream brush script with a flourished underline. Fine line engravings of the products stand out pale against the black: at the upper left a rat-trap pedal with toothed cages, below it a single freewheel sprocket, in the middle two right-hand cranks with their spiders and cotter holes, at the right a hub with drilled flanges and threaded axle ends and at the lower right a large chainring with three curved arms. The product lines are set in a rounded sans-serif on the two cream wedges, separated by round black dots, the hub line tilted along the wedge’s edge. At the lower left “La” in script and “Marque” in rounded capitals stand above the trademark “Eclair,” drawn in black capitals shaped like zigzag lightning bolts, the last stroke reversed in cream over the black. The agency credit “Pub. S.O.S.P.” runs upward in small cream letters at the lower right edge. No artist’s signature appears on the engravings.]
