[A ruled advertisement in black and white, a tall panel inside a thin double-weight border. Three centered lines of roman and bold capitals at the top announce the product, with the name “ECLAIR” and the year 1951 in large heavy capitals between quotation marks, followed by lines of lowercase, slanted italic and spaced capitals. In the lower half a line drawing shows a pair of drop handlebars wrapped with ribbed tape and fitted with brake levers, the two ends at the left and right; a large circle between them encloses an enlarged detail of a cable clip holding two cables along a tube. At the right a column of six short words in roman type sits between two black dots. The firm name in large bold capitals with a raised abbreviation, the Neuilly address, the telephone line and an italic line about wholesale sale close the panel. A very small illegible mark stands in the open space just below the right-hand brake lever, too small to read as a signature.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Omega sewing machines, the Neva sewing-machine cabinet, Unic sewing machines, Burgala sewing machines, the Manceau motorcycle luggage rack, La Courroie belts and Radior sewing machines.]
