[A ruled advertisement in black on the cream stock, the panel closed by a heavy rule, the whole of it set sideways on the page so that the lines read from the foot of the sheet upward. The device is a large circular mark in solid black: a disk cut into quarters by radiating fans of fine parallel curved lines, with the three letters of “ROW” laid heavily across it and a hub drawn at the center as a ring of ball bearings round concentric circles and a hexagonal nut. “NEW-STAR” is set in bold letter-spaced capitals with a rule beside it at the outer corner. A box with rounded corners, ruled with a shadow line, overlaps the device and holds the rest of the matter: the product line in bold condensed capitals, “POUR” small between the lines, “Cycles et Cyclo-Moteurs” in a lighter sloping face, the maker’s name “E. PERRIN” in very large bold capitals, the town in bold capitals with the department in italic in parentheses, and the telephone line in small capitals. No drawing of a machine appears, no second color is used, no signature or agency mark is present, and nothing shows through from the reverse of the leaf.]
[This advertisement shares page 112 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Sturmey-Archer and SIM, each held here as its own record, and one for the Grandière cyclomoteur.]
