PUB. S.O.S.P

[A landscape ruled advertisement in black and white with rounded and clipped corners and a heavy black frame at the right and foot. A very large heavy block-capital title sits at the upper left over a thick black bar. Below it centered lines of condensed capitals, slanted bold capitals and lighter capitals with small round bullets set out the models, and a short paragraph of spaced type follows with a ringed bullet beneath it. A slanted brush-script cry, underlined with a flourish, rises toward the right. At the right a line engraving with fine hatching shows a round speedometer with a dial and a clamp bracket that fits a handlebar tube, then an enlarged hexagonal inset of the bracket clamp, and a front wheel and fork of a bicycle with a flexible cable running down to a small drive at the hub, a curved arrow pointing from the inset to that drive; a small gauge sits at the top of the handlebar. A black triangle with a stippled edge runs across the lower middle. Along the black foot band the invitation, the distributor’s initials, a street address and a telephone exchange are reversed out in white, in a hand-lettered face. At the lower left “Hall du Cycle” and “STAND 117” are written in script on the pale ground. The vertical mark “PUB. S.O.S.P” runs up the right margin at the base of the drawing, an agency mark rather than an artist. No other signature is visible.]
